Blair School of Music and the International Society of Jazz Arrangers & Composers present John Clayton with the Ryan Middagh Jazz Orchestra, Friday, May 17, 8:00 p.m., in Ingram Hall.  

A Grammy-winning bassist, composer, producer, and educator, John Clayton has written and recorded with a who's who list of legendary artists, including Diana Krall, Paul McCartney, the Count Basie Orchestra, Regina Carter, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Gladys Knight, and Queen Latifah. Clayton's arrangement of the “Star Spangled Banner” for Whitney Houston's 1990 Super Bowl performance went on to be a Platinum-selling smash.
